Cash Cards

Cash cards are very similar to credit cards in that they are accepted anywhere credit cards are accepted. The difference is that the former are also known as debit cards. The card is linked to a checking or savings account, and use of the card immediately withdraws cash from your account. There is no monthly balance to pay, because the payment happens immediately after the card is used. On the other hand, there are also no interest rates!

This plastic cash is also known as a check card, because it performs just like a check, only with the convenience of a credit card. The only limitation is the amount of money in the bank account linked to the debit card. Some cards offer additional credit card style conveniences, such as cash back rewards programs, frequent flyer programs, and some even offer cash advances if the account balance is big enough to cover the advance. The prepaid cash card makes an excellent gift, because it is a way to give cash that is as easy to use as a credit card.
